ABOUT TESTFAIRY ‍

TestFairy provides companies with a mobile testing platform allowing teams to find, report and solve complex problems with their mobile apps, all from one simple dashboard. TestFairy provides an easy to use app-distribution service for iOS and Android apps, as well as an SDK that collects valuable information such as videos of user behavior, app logs and crash reports. This information is collected and neatly organized in a single, easy-to-use dashboard.TestFairy facilitates frictionless communication between developers, beta testers and business partners with the “shake to report bug” capability, which provides accurate, information-rich bug reports. With TestFairy’s videos, logs and device metrics, teams are able to quickly reproduce and understand problems, providing accurate and timely bug fixes and a faster time-to-market.

THE CHALLENGE ‍

Clients turn to Poccadot in various stages of the development process, from an idea or a general concept, to full designs and prepared screens. Poccadot’s developers take it from there to a complete, prepared product: an app on the appstore. Poccadot’s team work on a couple dozen of apps at any given time, whether developing new apps or carrying out maintenance work on existing apps. This heavy workload brought along the need for one tool to help the team efficiently manage everything and communicate with their clients, send out new versions and get feedback from their testers. That’s when TestFairy came along.

THE TESTFAIRY SOLUTION ‍

Poccadot uses TestFairy throughout their various development processes.

• 1. Distribution - Poccadot uses TestFairy’s distribution tools to send out app versions to their testers and automatically update the versions testers use as they roll them out.
• 2. Feedback - By automatically gathering important data such as video recordings of their clients’ app usage and screenshots of the apps’ appearance on various devices, Poccadot saved precious time on figuring out what caused issues, and resolving them faster than ever before.
• 3. Better Communication - TestFairy enables the Poccadot team to easily communicate with their clients. Occasionally, clients will reach out with issues they’re experiencing on some app version, and they don’t always know or are able to explain their exact usage scenario when a crash happened. By opening up the TestFairy dashboard, the team is able to easily locate the specific session and isolate the issue that caused the crash, resolving it before lunchtime!
